Nelson Mandela Annual Lecture

The former President of the United State, Barrack Obama, delivered a speech in the Nelson Mandela Annual Lecture yesterday. The speech was full of sense of humour and great as always.

In the speech, he indicated that we are currently living in a world of strong man politics where democracy is merely remaining its form, all the actions of the leaders are undermining international organization that is giving meaning to democracy.

He further explain, democracy is not just about voting rights, is about fairness and justice, the rule of law, gender equality and multi racial democracy. He still believe the vision of all the former great leaders such as Mandela himself, Abraham Linconln and etc that every man is created equally.

Ambitions and influence in his sense is not having more but is giving more, because there is only so much you can eat, so big a house you can live, and so much of cars you can drive. He urge all those who are having enough to go out and help those in need.

So please, government should impose greater tax from big corporations and stop getting money from the poor, there are many people like me, 34 years old earning RM1400 having merely enough to pay rent and getting food. It really worried me when i heard the new government want to impose a new goods tax of 10% and 6% service charges. It will

be another round of inflation...I really doesnt have enough to cover my monthly expenses....

PS: Learn a few new great leader during the speech yesterday such as Graca Machel (widower of the Madiba) and President Ramaphosa(current President of South Africa)
